Imagine a Time ...
When it was forbidden to own a Bible "or any portion thereof on pain of death"?
When it was illegal for two or three to gather in Christ's name or to simply break the bread of remembrance together?
When to possess a small scrap of paper with a verse of scripture scrawled upon it was a capital offense?
When to teach your children the Lord's Prayer or the Ten Commandments meant facing arrest, being shackled and forgotten in a dungeon, and finally being burnt to death at the stake?

There once was a day in our history...

When engaging in these simple acts of faith
meant risking liberty and life.

A day when the Church -
rather than being a source of hope and light -
was a dark bastion of idolatry, superstition and moral corruption.

A day when the Bible was a forbidden book!

A Superb Family Event at Your Church ...
Fire for the Ploughman is the critically acclaimed drama which portrays the heroic events of William Tyndale's life and the astonishing story behind the making of the English Bible.  Audiences young and old are enthralled as they are transported back in time to participate in the inspiring adventure of one man's spiritual quest.  They discover a time when men and women - and even children - gladly laid down their lives for the sake of the Gospel.  They learn how God providentially prepared the way for His Book to be printed in English for the very first time.

In this two-act drama - actor Jack Caulfield portrays a lively cast of dignitaries including Henry VIII, Martin Luther,  the dangerous Sir Thomas More, and a comical larger-than-life Friar who attempts to force William Tyndale to deny all he believes.  Most importantly - audiences find themselves intimately challenged in their personal love for Christ and His Book.
